Dear Brother Eminent Knight                                                                           11th May 2018

Congratulations, in having achieved the ultimate accolade in your Preceptory. May I suggest another avenue which may assist you in your quest for further Knight Templar knowledge?

The FREDERICK FRIDAY PRECEPTORY No 484 meets at the Chatham Masonic hall on the First Saturday in February and September (Installation). Ample council car parking is available at the rear of the hall and the meals are of an excellent quality and good value.

This prestigious Preceptory is named after a very famous and prominent Freemason who was very active in several Masonic Orders in Kent and the Home Counties and a number of Masonic units are proud to bear his name. There is no work carried out other than the Installation of the new Preceptor. However, at each of the meetings an informative talk is given on an interesting or Masonic subject. It also gives members the opportunity to meet current and past Preceptors and to discuss various aspects of Knight Templar Masonry.

I look forward to your application to join and I would be delighted to propose you and the Provincial Sub-Prior to second. An Application Form is attached for your use.

Yours in the Bonds of the Order,

R. E. Kt David Jordan

Frederick Friday Preceptory No. 484

Frederick Friday Preceptory is a very special Preceptory.

Its membership is exclusive to Installed Preceptors, and provides a forum for Preceptors and Past Preceptors from all over Kent to meet, exchange ideas, and attend specially arranged talks, presentations, and lectures.

It is named after Frederick William Friday, a most renowned Kent Freemason, who was Sub-Prior from 1956 to 1966, and then Provincial Prior from 1966 to 1978. He was also the Provincial Grand Master of the Mark Degree 1975 to 1978; Assistant PGM of East Kent Craft 1973 to 1978; Intendant General of the Red Cross of Constantine, and all-round busy man! The Preceptory was Consecrated in 1977.

Whereas usually all knights wishing to join a Preceptory must receive advance approval by the provincial prior, all Kent Provincial Officers have 'blanket' approval to join this Preceptory.

Meetings take place on a Saturday morning, followed by lunch, and are usually attended by either the Provincial Prior, Sub-Prior or both.

Although membership is restricted, any knight may attend the meetings, so if you are interested, contact the Registrar.
